Anita Blake the MOVIE!!!??!!!
"Why leave out all the other good characters? I wouldnt really like the fact that they only had JC and Richard. BLAH... " I see where you are coming from and I see where the others are coming from. Guilty Pleasures would just be the starting point for Anita Blake and the rest. Just like the books are. We didn't know all the other characters when Guilty Pleasures came out. Why should we jump to the later books and let others meet everyone first. Plus if we did that then it would confuse people who watch the movie yet have not read the books.
I do think this would be a great thing to do if we could get everything, from the characters to the scenery, down to a tee. I would love to see it happen, but am very worried what would happen to the Juicy parts of the later books such as Blood Noir. Those that have read it would have to admit that the book would practically be a XXX movie.

Anita needs to eat more....
This is the first book where we see the vampire marks requiring Anita to eat more. We see this again in Burnt Offerings, and then Nathaniel reveals to Anita later—I think in Danse Macabre, but I can't remember—we see it again. However, it isn't just because of the vampire marks that Jean-Claude has placed on Anita. It is a way to push back the ardeur so it doesn't bother her as often, and also so she doesn't drain Damian (her vampire servant) and Nathaniel (her animal to call).

My First Blake
My first Anita Blake book was 'Circus of the Damned'. I've read the rest in order from that, and have Blood Noir on order for when it comes and, and Just now am going to go back for the first two books; Guilty Pleasures & The Laughing Corpse.
