They perform more than a passing function. Examples of this type of character are: Bert Vaughn, Dolph Storr, Zerbrowski, Irving Griswold, Willie McCoy, Caleb, Malcolm, Nikolaos, Requiem, Larry Kirkland, etc. inor Characters Minor or filler characters are those that may fill a role in a story but are not necessarily needed in the novels. (This is not to say that they are not loved!) Examples of this type of character are: Stephen and Gregory Dietrich, Vivian, Noah, Merle, Meng Die, Faust, Craig, Mary, Det. Clive Perry, Det. Merlioni, Jessica Arnet, Luther, Dead Dave, Jamison Clarke, Valentine, Aubrey, Zachary, etc. .
