Both quotes are from Burnt Offerings (book 7).
The first one is on page 102, Chapter 15. Anita is talking to the Master of Beasts, or as she calls him the Beast Master, she's just told him that she's not going to let his son Fernando rape Hannah, one of Jean-Claude's vampires, she'll shoot him first. The Beast Master says, "I am the Master of Beasts." To which Anita replies, "I don't care if you're Santa Claus. He lets her go or he dies." The other quote is on page 114, Chapter 16. It's the end of the chapter and Anita's musing to herself. "Great. Every time I thought I understood the rules, they changed. Why was it that the damn rules always seemed to change for the worse?" |
