Damian is a vampire of Jean-Claude's kiss, bound to him by oath of blood and honor. Through a series of metaphysical events, he became tied to Anita as her vampire servant, but he is also the vampire component in Anita's second triumvirate.

• Damian was rescued/ransomed from 'She Who Made Him', a Night Hag named Moroven, by Jean-Claude. (tKD)
• He was brought to St. Louis initially to be Jean-Claude's temoin, but was replaced by Asher after the events in BO resulted in that vampire remaining in St. Louis
• He becomes Anita's vampire servant after a series of metaphysical accidents. The first is when she raises him from his coffin in tKD. The second happens in BO, when Anita has to use her necromancy and her ties to Jean-Claude to save his life. The third happens when she has to use her blood to save him in Blue Moon.
• Damian reveals that he is Anita's servant in BM. As a result, he MUST do as she commands him.
• As Anita's vampire servant, there is an intense skin hunger between them, a need to touch or be near each other. This is made stronger by the creation of the second triumvirate in ID, as it is augmented by Nathaniel's need for Anita's love.
• Damian's touch and presence is very calming to Anita - giving her better control of her emotions, including the ardeur. Anita relies on this a great deal as she is learning to cope with the affects of these changes and the idiosyncrasies of vampire politics.
• When Anita pulls away from Jean-Claude and Richard after BM, and builds her shields to keep them out, Damian goes revenant without the link to her. He kills two people who accidentally run into him and is forced into a cross-wrapped coffin by Jean-Claude until Anita returns. She releases and rebinds him to her in NiC.
• Anita forms a second triumvirate with Damian and Nathaniel accidentally in Incubus Dreams. They seem to have exchanged all four marks.
• Afterwards, Anita unintentionally seals herself off from Damian and he turns revenant. She must rebind/re-oath him to her to bring him back to his senses. They seal this binding by having sex for the first time. (ID)
• Several times after creating the second triumvirate, Anita frequently drains Damian's energy to the brink of true death when she refuses or forgets to feed the ardeur. (ID, DM, TH)
• One of the side effects of the creation of the second triumvirate is that Damian was made 'prettier'. Nothing drastic, but his mouth is fuller, nose straighter, etc. Another was that when Anita and Nathaniel are near at daybreak he does not 'die'. He can 'daywalk'. Jean-Claude is upset to discover this, because Anita refused to finish the marks with him, denying him the chance to also walk in the daylight. (ID)
