Character Description

Dominga is thin, with pure white hair done in a bun. She is in her early sixties, and her brown face has a lot of smile lines. Her eyes are black, and can twinkle or go deadly cold. Her voice is a rich contralto, with a hint of an accent. She looks like a nice old granny and it is excellent camouflage for what she really is.

Character Factoids

• She is extremely powerful and evil: Anita is afraid of her, and has refused all her invitations to her home and ceremonies.
• She has devised a way to capture the soul within the dead body, creating a non rotting, non deteriorating zombie. She can remove and replace the soul at her whim. She wishes to start a business venture based on this, and thinks Anita should join her. Anita refused.
• Her basement contains many more horrible things now than it did twenty years ago. Apparently a non rotting zombie is the least ghastly of what she can generate. She had to destroy most of these horrors because the police were planning to search her house: only a a mishmash of stray animated parts remained. Anita was able to control it when it attacked her and Wheelchair Wanda. It fell apart when Dominga died.
• She lives in a 2 story white house on a half acre of land in a neighborhood built in the forties or fifties. There are red geraniums planted near the house. The neighborhood is very safe because the hoodlums are terrified of Sra. Salvador.
• She was pleased to destroy trust between Anita and Manny by revealing that Manny had performed human sacrifice.
• Manny considers her, not honorable, but good to her word. If she says she will do something, she will do it.
• There is no love lost between her and John Burke, especially since he believes she killed his brother, Peter. He is afraid of her more than ever after he threatened to take the gris-gris she made for Peter, and add her powers to his. Dominga reabsorbed the gris-gris without a ceremony to invoke the loa, which she should not have been able to do.
• She caused a second degree burn on Anita with her spit.
• Dominga was able to catch Anita in a compulsion and tried to make her sacrifice Wanda to raise Harold Gaynor's ancestor. Anita raised the dead, but by killing Enzo and Bruno, Gaynor's thugs, instead. The power let her raise a great many zombies at Burrell Cemetery, whom she commanded to kill Gaynor and Dominga.
