FD Plot Summary

Anita has been called to consult with the police at a crime scene. A vampire has been killing children. Seven bodies have been found so far.
The carnage is talking it toll on Anita and she rushes off to the side to vomit. The killer is getting more savage with each kill. Dolph pushes her to find something that they can use to find this monster. Faced with the prospect of another death, Anita forces herself to again look at the scene.
She notices that the vampire did not even try to disguise his attack. The sun had recently set and suddenly she feels the nearby presence of a vampire and she tells Zerbrowski and Dolph about it. Anita focuses and is able to tell them where he is and they question him. Adam appears to have an alibi for all the child murders.

Afterwards, Anita visits with Dead Dave to learn about where this vampire worked: GP. He tells her the place is a freak-fest, a place where humans go to watch vampires and lycanthropes. Because Anita is restricted with what she can share with Dave, she cannot ask him the questions that she really wants to: Does he know Adam, and can be trusted? Dave tells her a little about the manager, a vampire by the name of Jean-Claude, a ladies man, who has apparently gotten on the bad books of the Master of the City. Anita knew that Dave had to be careful with what information that he shared as well. He could not afford to get in the vampire's bad books.
The clues were leading to the strip club, so Anita and Dolph paid Jean-Claude a visit during business hours. Jean-Claude seems immediately taken with Anita, especially when he learns who she is - The Executioner. He teases and gently taunts her until she walks away. Dolph follows and after a brief conversation convinces her to come back and use the vampire's fascination to get more information.

The next day, another young body is found and Anita finds herself having to comfort the distraught mother and this furthers her resolve to catch and stake this monster.
They bring Sean in for questioning, and Dolph asks Anita to attend. It quickly becomes clear that his alibi does not hold up. Her presence in the room seems to disturb him and when he learns who she is he shows fear. He freaks out and tries to escape, ensnaring one of the officers present and attempts to use him against the other humans. Anita uses her cross to restrain him and at first he backs off but then attacks her, separating her from her necklace. Unbeknown to him she has a second holy item - a cross laden charm bracelet. It burns his flesh causing great pain. The officers are able to again restrain him. Anita convinces him to tell them what he knows about the killings. He tells them where to find the bodies, but these are of all of adults, and are not related to the case on which they are working and her 'warrant of execution' cannot be applied to him.

As described by Sean they find the bodies, buried, but not otherwise concealed as a death by vampire. Anita and Zerbrowski go back to the car to await Sean's rising as dusk falls.
They begin questioning him about his Kiss, the vampires that are responsible for these deaths. And hoping for a reprieve of his own death, he gave them the names, jobs if they had them, even their daytime resting place. Suddenly, Anita feels more vampire power and Sean breaks free of his cuffs and he says, "My master knows." He attacks and Anita shoots him blowing a hole in his chest. (end of issue1)
