Estelle Hewitt: hundred-plus-year-old zombie that Anita helped Zachary raise

Bruce: an administrative assistant for Malcolm

Thomas Jensen: a potential client used to lure Anita to the cemetery

Tommy, Bruno and Enzo: bodyguards for Harold Gaynor

Antonio: Grandson of Dominga Salvador, who acts as her enforcer

Small boy and girl of about five: more of Dominga's grandchildren

Cicely: deaf and sadistic girlfriend of Harold Gaynor's

Wheelchair Wanda: former girlfriend of Harold Gaynor's, later a prostitute, terrified of vampires

Evans: a touch clairvoyant who lives as a recluse in a mobile home in St. Charles.

Charles Montgomery: a big scary-looking black man who works for Animators, Inc, and is a big sweet marshmallow inside.

Rosita Rodriguez: Manny's wife, who towers over him, bosses him around, and converted him to Christianity. Their son, Tomas, is four years old in this book.

Seymour and Pete, aka Fatty: low level thugs working for Harold Gaynor, who try to kidnap Anita and Ronnie.

Mrs. Cassidy: from the wedding shop

Elizabeth (Elsie) Markowitz: a colleague and friend of Catherine Maison's; she is a lawyer and mother to Kasey, who is a flower girl in Catherine's wedding.

Benjamin Reynolds, age 3, and his parents: eaten by the killer zombie.
