Midnight blue eyes, almost black, perfect as the midnight sky; stands close to 6 ft, roughly 5'11"; long softly curling black hair; pale skin of alabaster with a lean bare chest with a burn scar of a cross. His voice is soft and seductive. He has long fingered hands

Character Occupation

Master of the City; Runs JC Corp. (Owns many businesses in the Blood District including -- Guilty Pleasures, Danse Macabre, Circus of the Damned, Laughing Corpse, etc.); is also a main sponsor for an all-vampire ballet troupe. He is the vampire 'spokeperson', the pretty face for the Council.

Character Race

Master Vampire; becomes a Sourdre de Sang (Fountain of Blood), a founder of a vampire line in Cerulean Sins. At first, he proclaimed his age to Anita to be 205 (GP, pg 13), but she has come to suspect (and prove) that he is better than 400 years old (OB). However, in Danse Macabre, he mentions that he has not dreamed in more than 600 years, so his true age remains a mystery, even to Anita. (pg 236, paperback version)

• When he lets his hair dry naturally, it has a lot of curl to it.
• He has quite a reaction to his first kiss with Anita. Was it just hunger?
• He first marked Anita to save first her life, then his own. Both marks were given without her permission and Anita is very vocal in her dislike of that.
• He does not like to be referred to/called 'master'.
• In GP he promises to protect Anita.
• He was born on a dirt floor in France and became the whipping boy for an aristocrat's son. He has a series of whip-mark scars on his back still.
• He was a libertine before he was turned.
• Lissette was his maker, the one that turned him and he was brought over for lust; his first true master was Julian, a cruel master who enjoyed tormenting him. He came into Belle Morte's care after being dead for five years

• His pet name for Anita has always been "ma petite" and although it annoys her, she has come to love it, thus when he calls her "Anita", she knows she is in trouble.
• He is an incubus; he feeds on lust. He is a carrier of the ardeur, a hunger that is as compelling and relentless as the need to drink blood. It is a rare power of Belle Morte's line, and he appears to have passed it on to Anita. (NiC)
• His nickname for Asher is "mon chardonneret", meaning "my goldfinch"
• He has the ability to feed off of sexual energy, thanks to Belle Morte. This is said to be his main reason behind opening Guilty Pleasures, so that he can feed the lust of the ardeur without actually touching the customers ( he feeds off of the energy they create)
• After becomming the Master of the City, he vowed to create no more vampires; he doesn't believe that he should be able to chose who lives and who dies (reference?)
