Sometimes, one bite is enough to bring a person over if the vampire is powerful enough, and even more rarely, a very powerful vampire master only needs to touch a corpse to turn it into a vampire. (reference point?)
If the victim was bitten by more than one vampire, they will either not raise, or come back as an animisticanimalistic vampire also known as a revenant. They will slaughter everything in its path unless it is killed or a powerful master vampire controls and stops it.They are like PCP addicts, unable to feel pain.pain, they only feel the thirst, the need to drink. Because of this, not even holy symbols stop them, and they can keep attacking even with no head or heart. They only die when both are destroyed. They are too rare to have a colloquial term.
The corpses of vampire victims are sent to special morgues, equipped to handle freshly risen vampires. The room where they are kept in needs to be heavily steel enforced, and they usually have crosses laid on the doors, and sometimes they even have feeding tanks with rats, rabbits and guinea pigs to take the edge off their blood lust. There is also a vampire counselorcounsellor who waits with the corpses, to talk to and reassure the newly risen. These vampires have only been in place for a little over a month before CotD.
There are a number of people with 'Living Wills' that indicate that they are to be staked if they die as a result of a vampire bite. These people have indicated that they do not want to rise as vampires. (CotD)
