October 2007 Message

Dear Members:

Hello Anita addicts!

Did you know that as of today that we have had over a thousand (1,022) hits on our wiki website? Granted, many of these are ourselves, but many others come from google search and yahoo search as well! That is cool. Have any of you done an Anita related search lately and seen our wiki come up in the results? I have, I had a proud 'Hey!' moment! :-))

Did you know that we have people from the UK, Australia, Grenada visiting as well as from all over the US and Canada!!

We are the little wiki site that grew! And we couldn't have done it without you. Thanks to all of those who have contributed to the pages that we now have. Good Work. Wetpaint has put us on their homepage twice and we aren't even six months old yet. Wow.

So where do we go from here? There is still plenty of work to do. We need Casting pictures and character profiles for many of the people from the books. If everyone could adopt and complete a couple that would be great.

We also need to get the word out and get more members contributing! Invite a friend to come see what we have done.

If you are currently a 'registered user' and would like to start contibuting to the site, you can easily be upgraded to 'writer', please let me know and I can change your status.

Over the past few months I've done a lot of work to bring a common feel to the current pages and designing templates for new pages so that the overall look of our site remains consistent. If you have suggestions for further improvements, please leave a comment or send it to me directly.

I've heavily combed the Wetpaint Central site for tips and suggestions to improve our site. What you see is a result of that research. Wetpaint is also constantly improving what they offer with regular upgrades.

I've had suggestions for a wallpaper/avatar section and possibly character profile essays. I'm thinking that as the site grows, that I will also put in an index to allow searchers to find items that way as well. What do you think of these ideas? I need feedback.
