• He is extremely old, and was first a Roman soldier and then a gladiator in life. He was turned by the Dragon after a night of sex. (ID)
• He is on loan to Jean-Claude, and Buzz thinks he cherishes hopes of taking the number two or number three position in the kiss, though he really has designs on taking the Mastery of the City. He is royally pissed at being used as a security guard at Guilty Pleasures instead, and having to answer to a baby like Buzz. Jean-Claude told him to suck it up and obey Buzz or leave.
• Primo is challenging Buzz and Jean-Claude indirectly by not doing his job well. Among other things, he is taking money to let people in who should not be in the club, such as single men.

Jean-Claude used that bond to control him, and make him kiss women from the audience to generate the lust to feed the ardeur and convince the audience there was nothing wrong.
• The Dragon used Primo as a conduit for her power. She tried to interfere with Jean-Claude while Anita was feeding the ardeur with Byron.
• Jean-Claude ordered him locked in the cross-wrapped coffin afterwards. Anita ordered that he be killed if he broke out of it. She considers him too dangerous to keep, but understands why Jean-Claude would want a warrior of such strength.
