Character Description

He is about six feet tall, powerfully built, with strongly Mexican features, brown eyes, and thick black hair which he keeps cut short. His face is somewhat thin, and his lips are soft and sensuous, which ruins the effect of sternness. Anita perceives him as looking arrogant. His voice is low and deep and he speaks with a Missouri accent. There is a rough brand of a crown on his left forearm, which shows in both rat and human form.

Character Occupation

His day job is unstated, but his Rodere runs heavily to ex-mercenaries and efficient bodyguards, so managing them might be a full time job. (speculation)

Character Race

Lycanthrope. Rafael is a wererat. His rat form is black, and he can lash his tail. He can shift and still retain his cutoff shorts. (GP) His crown brand shows clearly through the fur, showing his kingship.

Rafael is still alive as of 'The Harlequin'.

Character Associations and Ties

Rafael has no metaphysical bonds outside his Rodere.

He does have a treaty with the wolves, but it is with Richard personally, not with the Thronnos Rokke Pack, and he would consider it null and void if Richard were no longer Ulfric. (NiC)

He considers the bond of friendship and reciprocal obligations with Anita strong enough to make him take her side against the Pack (NiC), but not strong enough to constitute a stronger bond with her and Jean-Claude against the threat of the hyenas (TH).

He offers himself as a candidate for Anita's pomme de sang to strengthen the ties with Jean-Claude (TH) but was turned down.
