My name is triscut.

My introduction to Laurell K. Hamilton came about several years ago, in early 2004, I think, when someone lent me the first book from her Merry Gentry series. After I finished it and expressed further interest, she kindly lent me the others that she had at the time. The series was waiting for the fourth book to be published, I think.

Several months later, I was in a bookstore and Incubus Dreams had just come out in paperback, I remembered liking the author and needing something new to read, I picked it up. I knew that it was another series of hers, and after reading that book and liking the characters, (Jason is my favorite), I looked for the other books in the series. I quickly came to love the many characters that Laurell K. Hamilton had created in her world.

Through a chance search of the web for more information on the books, I came across a community of people who shared my interest in the characters and I discovered the world of fan fiction. The thought behind this Anitaverse wiki came about from a series of conversation in that community about having a single organized up-to-date reference point for information about the Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter world.
