He often wears leather, not club wear, but the worn, boiled sort that could be anything within the thirteenth to fifteenth century range, and his favorite boots are so old and worn Jean-Claude offered to replace them. - Truth was stabbed with a silver knife during the altercation in the Church of Eternal Life, as he tried to subdue Jonas. He almost lost his life.
- Truth survived the stabbing by blood-oathing to Jean-Claude through Anita. She had to feed him with power, given as a kiss, and then with blood. He nearly died before she dropped her shields enough to bind him. The ardeur then rose, which Jean-Claude called away from Truth and Anita, which pleased Truth. Wicked wanted to be bound the same way.
- He and his brother, Wicked, survived the death of their master and sourdre de sang, which is virtually unheard of. They have lived on the run since then, with all vampires' hands turned against them. Most masters would have slain them, but Malcolm let them join his church.
- They killed their master because he had gone mad and spread madness among his kiss, who began to kill indiscriminately. His death saved the vampires from coming to attention in England, which made some of the the Council grateful enough to commute their death sentence to outlawry. This happened while Jean-Claude was still at Court with Belle. She voted to let them live, though Jean-Claude does not know why. (ID)
