Character Occupation

His occupation has not been revealed, but he and his brother, Truth, came to Jean-Claude's kiss when he was wishing for warriors, and they served as protection during the ballet in DM.

Character Race

Wicked is a vampire. In DM, Elinore refers to them as master vampires and they rose third and fourth after Anita and Jean-Claude shared the energy of their feeding with the Kiss. He is several centuries old, but his exact age is not stated.

He is undead.

Character Factoids

• He and his brother, Truth, survived the death of their master and sourdre de sang, which is virtually unheard of. They have lived on the run since then, with all vampires' hands turned against them. Most masters would have slain them, but Malcolm let them join his church.
• They killed their master because he had gone mad and spread madness among his kiss, who began to kill indiscriminately. His death saved the vampires from coming to attention in England, which made some of the the Council grateful enough to commute their death sentence to outlawry. This happened while Jean-Claude was still at Court with Belle. She voted to let them live, though Jean-Claude does not know why.
• He is a great warrior, legendary among the vampires, and a man of honor.
• He demanded that Anita bind him to Jean-Claude as she bound Truth, (ID) though in the end, he was oathed directly to Jean-Claude, and the binding was somehow different. (TH) One would expect him to have noticed this fact at the time. The difference upsets him, as the brothers' strength depends on them doing everything the same.
• Canon does not ever specify Wicked and Truth as twins, only as brothers.
• Malcolm is very emphatic that Wicked and Truth are not masters. (ID Ch 68)
• Richard objects to Wicked being offered to Anita as a candidate for pomme de sang. (TH)
