Anne Hathaway has the hair... and she's too tall...

anyone think about Alissa Romano?? I know, kind of cliche with her "Charmed" stint, but I think she's got a bit of that ability to be a believable bad ass with a gun and capable of carrying that Anita 'tude...

I think the best people who could fit her image are Selma Hayek {she's just as gorgeous as i picture anita, plus she has the hair and she isnt too tall} or Catherine Zeta-Jones {she is also gorgeous, isnt too tall... but the accent might be a problem} OR... she isn't an actress, but I think she has the most anita look... Nora Jones. {she is gorgeous, is small, doesn't look like she could be the "executioner"... and has the hair, lips, eyes, and skin color..... only problem is, can she act?} Do you find this valuable?

FROM A NORAH JONES ARTICLE

"Now that she has entered the acting world, American singer Norah Jones has expressed her desire to star in a zombie movie.

The 29-year-old, who made her movie debut in 'My Blueberry Nights,' insists that she won't be quitting her jazz career as yet, even though she feels strongly towards taking up acting.

She said that at the moment, she would just love to slap on some fake blood for a horror film, and would even like to sing on the soundtrack.

"I'm not out to conquer Hollywood. I would act again if it was something appropriate or something that sounded like fun," Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

"It would be fun to do a zombie movie. I would probably not want to do a song for the zombie soundtrack - but maybe I would," she added.

i don't think anne could pull it off...when i think anne, i think loveable princess movies. I think Selma would work just cause she has the background. Norah Jones might be good if she could pull it off. Acting's a big part but looks would be a must. Do you find this valuable?

IMO I cannot see Anne Hathaway as Anita in no way shape or form. Norah Jones is an interesting idea, I have such a hard time picturing who would play who! The characters are so real and loved by myself I just simply go BLANK.

When True Blood came on HBO and I had been a faithful reader of Charlaine Harris, it takes me stepping WAY back with the way they cast and portrayed the characters. Some are dead right on and others are not. Not to mention Alan Ball 'based' the series on her books. Here's hoping LKH has a say in whatever form they chose to present them!

Well, for Anita's appearance her being half Latina and petite should really be taken into consideration since it's they're part of her character -- as for her looks, Anita is described as girl-next-door-pretty and not the knock-out-and-drag beauty of one of Belle's girls -- even Anita admits to Musette that her boys are prettier than she is.

My point?

Well, Norah Jones classically, gentle beauty fits the physical bill for Anita (even if she's not half Mexican). Alyssa Milano and most other major, established actresses that keep being suggested for Anita like Kate Beckinsale, are all a little old for the role -- even Norah Jones is pushing the envelope at 29 (Anita is 24 when we first meet her in Guilty Pleasures).

I think the role would work best with an unknown but skilled actress in her mid to early 20's -- JMO.

Oh I don't think so. She needs a woman with far more umph to play her.

Blessed Be
Lilith.
